Beast Mode Event LTMs
Power Sword Royale (March 25 – April 14, 2025)
The Power Sword is in the game—but only if you can find it first! One Power Sword spawns at the start of every match and once per round, offering unmatched melee dominance.Power Sword Abilities:- Devastating close-range melee attacks
- Energy slashes while ADSing (provides minor defensive coverage)
- Can block incoming damage when aimed
- Special energy burst to debuff enemies and buff allies
April Fool’s Mode (April 1 – April 7, 2025)
In collaboration with Creator Commissioner Apryze, a chaotic, remixed April Fool’s mode is coming. Expect unexpected gameplay twists, quirky mechanics, and some surprises along the way.Solos Mode Returns! (April 8 – April 14, 2025)
Solos is finally making a return—but with some major changes to keep things fresh:- 30-player lobbies instead of 60
- Respawn Token System:
- Every player starts with one Respawn Token
- You can redeploy after dying (until late game)
- Late-game Respawn Tokens convert into EVO Shield boosts
- Weapon Upgrade System:
- Loot bins now upgrade your weapons gradually
- Gold upgrades become available after loot bins reset

Skirmisher Class Updates
New Skirmisher Perks
Skirmishers are getting stronger, with perks that improve mobility and combat efficiency:Trailblazer – Gain a speed boost when sprinting toward an ally Skirmisher (if at least 20m away)Charged Knock – Gain one extra ability charge and 50 HP regen after knocking an enemy- Octane Exception: Instead of an extra Tactical charge, he gains an extra Ultimate charge
- Alter: Tactical ability now has two charges (up from one), portal max distance increased to 30m
- Wraith: Can now exit her phase ability at will, Ultimate charges faster
- Revenant: Shadow Pounce activation time reduced by ~30%, cooldown now 20s (was 25s)
- Horizon: New upgrades improve shield regen and grenade efficiency
- Ash: Ultimate cooldown increased to 2m 30s (was 2m)
Weapon & Gameplay Changes
Major Weapon Buffs & Nerfs
SMGs Buffed (Bigger Magazines):- Alternator, C.A.R., R-99, Volt SMG – All mag sizes increased by 1 bullet per tier
- Charge decay timer increased to 8s (was 6s)
- Delay before charge starts depleting increased to 8s (was 6s)
- ADS Charged Shot Damage: 65 (was 58)
- Headshot Damage: 104 (was 93)
- Laser sight effectiveness normalized (now matches other weapons)
- No longer supports Boost Loader Hop-Up
- Reverse hipfire mechanic removed (less effective at close range)
Ranked System Updates
Ranked Split Reset Rules
To reduce mismatched ranked games, Apex is introducing a new tier-based reset system:- Instead of a hard reset, players will reset to the lowest division of their previous tier
- Example:
- Platinum I resets to Platinum IV (11,000 RP)
- Diamond IV resets to Platinum III (9,250 RP)
- Master resets to Platinum I (11,000 RP)
Heat Shield Changes
Heat Shields now take ramping damage based on core proximity.- Previously: Heat Shields only took damage when the core touched the ring
- Now: Heat Shields take more damage the further they are into the ring
Audio & Graphics Updates
Audio Adjustments
- Ballistic’s Ultimate, Alter’s Void Nexus, Ash’s Snare, Catalyst’s Barricade, and more
- Bangalore’s Ultimate explosions are now quieter at long distances
DirectX 11 Removed
- Apex is now exclusively running on DX12
- Older DX11 GPUs are no longer supported (e.g., AMD Radeon HD 7790, Nvidia GTX 960)
- DX12 improves frame rates and input lag on modern hardware
